Tampa Bay, FL- For another night, the “Real Rays” brought the real deal as they began another home stand at the Trop in dominating fashion. The Rays won their 10th game in a row at home this season as they beat the New York Yankees 7-1 Monday night at Tropicana Field. Matt Garza finally brought the stuff that the Rays had seen when they traded
for him in the off season as he pitched 7 shut out innings. Garza wouldn’t allow the Yankee bats to gain any ground on him as he struck out three and allowed only five hits. Gary Glover would come in and allow the only run on the night as Johnny Damon sent a ground ball to first baseman Carlos Pena to score Jose Molina and give the Yankees one run. ...
