PHCC Downs HCC to Continue To Advance in Tournament

In Suncoast Conference tournament action, PHCC defeated Hillsborough Community College 9-2 in Tampa to advance to a best of three series against #2 Manatee Community College. Freshman Scott Moeller (7-6) pitched a complete game allowing 2 runs on 9 hits while striking out 5. Kevin Kunnen and Zach Maxfield went 4 for 5 at the plate to lead the hitters. season. PHCC will travel to Manatee tomorrow (Thursday) for a 6:00pm game before returning home to host Manatee on Friday at 3:00pm. A third game will be played at Manatee on Saturday, if necessary.
