University of South Florida junior outfielder Chris Rey garnered his first BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll award for his performances in a pair of non-conference midweek games April 29 and 30, the league announced Monday. Rey was 6-for-7 at the plate, batting .857 with a double and a home run. He collected five RBI and 10 total bases to post a 1.429 |
slugging percentage while also recording a .750 on base percentage. In the two games, he scored two runs, stole one base and did not strike out. In the field, the native of Miami made four put outs with no errors.
On Tuesday against UCF, he was 3-for-3, driving in four runs off a double and home run. Against Bethune-Cookman the next night, he had one RBI and scored once.
